Thanks for your reply man, I'm totally sold on the Blackhawk pads for sure can't wait to try them out !

yeah I bought some Viper knee pads few years back, fell apart pretty quickly, repaired for spares but been using a pair of Hatch ones I was given ever since which seem a lot better. Viper tac vests seem ok for the price, my son's has lasted years without any issues and turned out a good buy.

Where can I get eye pro from ?

Airsoft retailers and fleabay, or outdoor sports retailers for Bolle.

Some techie bits for me:

s-l140.jpgs-l140.jpg 4 Pole Rocker Switch & Waterproof Cover - £3.08 posted ~ fleabay

(for my NVG rig)

s-l140.jpg2 x 100mm Magnetic Parts Tray - £4.80 posted ~ fleabay

s-l140.jpg Quiksteel Steel Reinforced Epoxy Putty - £5.85 posted ~ fleabay

I'm hoping this Quiksteel will allow me to effect a durable repair to a tactical fire selector lever for 1 of my AK's - tbh I doubt it will actually work, but we shall see.

A 51mm mortar case from our own dear Jamesronald - why? I dunno. I'm thinking I may keep my mags in it, or spray paint at one end and gun parts which dont fit in my other bits boxes in the rest...

But it looks sooooo B)

Buying one before they sell out but it won't go with my loadout for a while (since I don't have a Multicam chest rig yet, and I need to save my money so I won't be getting one soon)

Bollé PILOPSI Goggles

bollepilopsi.jpg

Compatibility with glasses is very promising, hope they work well. The lens being on top of frame is a great design (I have SRC goggles like these) because it gives excellent field of view. Hopefully however it is attached is sturdy because the SRC ones have a dodgy rotating lock system which seems loose so I'm not using them.

They look pretty good for ventilation too - if they have the same anti-fog properties as the Cobras, the extra ventilation might actually stop the liquid build up that the Cobras suffer from. Let us know how you get on with them, please. How much did they cost and from where?

I've bought myself a Cold Steel Training Gladius - as we're allowed them to "tag" people who are too close. In my eyes a Gladius is better than a knife! Although the hand and a half sword is also tempting me....

Rubber knives are great fun for skirmishing. I once 'killed' a guy in a tower by poking the knife through its gappy floorboards.

I've often thought of getting an M4/M16 rubber bayonet for the same reason. Although being of a certain age, my silly side says learning the black art of "Ecky Thump" and attacking with a large black pudding, "The Goodies" stylee, for giggles, would be better (sorry young 'uns, you'll have to Google "The Goodies" on Youtube to understand)!
