Im free anytime, just let me know lol

surprisingly enough i am a marksman lol so i can do anyhting to do with marksmen etc. so dmr's what to put in them, what stuff to put on them
Ill take anything really, ive been playing for ages so I know a fair bit if u know what I mean

I'll happily do anything tbh- although I'd like to do this section

Section 1.1 - a beginners guide to airsoft part 2
-first gun
-basic gear explained
-hand signals and basic communication
-where to buy

I can use a lot of my guide already for that too.

Haha I didn't really think about that. Ok then you can take that as your primary and I might pull you in for the DM in the Roles area if your cool with that?

as well as videos I will be using a lot of images do you have a DMR that you could use for this or shall I just pull one from the net Id rather have everything come from this site as to attain its origins maybe a water mark of the site banner.

Thanks for the mention Dev ;)

I'd be very happy to help :D

I'm a DM primarily right now, but slowly getting more and more like a sniper but I've got a bit of experience here and there :)
Ask me about general tech problems, I'm happy to help most of the time ;) I'm decent with AEGs, but my speciality is snipers, that being AEG, spring and gas. I'm quite good with GBBR systems too, WA especially.

Ask me about your Tanaka/KJW bolt action problems!
Here's a link to my M40 takedown guide, works for M700's too!

Well you can help out in both areas then that would be a great help two heads are better than one right. And you should have revived my PM as well so check that over and follow the instructions please.

Count me in. This is one of the best ideas I've seen in a long time.

I can cover firearms law/the VCRA in EXTREME detail, with pertinent law etc, can also get it confimed by one of my old professors at Uni, just to make sure it's good.
Got quite a lot of mechbox knowledge too, particularly in how to get peak performance and air seal.

Also got some knowledge about various other things and have a few suggestions to the makeup of the whole thing which I'd suggest (particularly how you'd structure the repair/upgrades section, because that could be a tricky one), but I need to figure them out properly first.

Would there be any objection to me using it to make booklets to give to all the players in Cov Uni AirSoc next year? Obviously as a freebie as part of their AirSoc membership as opposed to being sold to them?

Very pleased to be a part of this at any level.

-Tom.

Theres been a huge response so thanks to all you guys if we can keep the enthusiasm at this level this will be the most comprehensive guide on the internet and Finnius I guess you could as long as you specify where it was from and all I was thinking of using my Programming skills and knocking up an Android application of the guide so it can viewed out and about for obvious reasons. I will need to speak to Dev on that situation thought.

Ill double check with Dev and ill get back to you because I guess as its his site it will fall under his stipulation, but I'm sure it will be fine and a great way to get new people on the site.

Can anyone who's got any ideas regarding what should be included in the VCRA/Law section please head over to my thread in that part of the forum (UK Law), and let me know what they think. Even if you don't know anything about it yourself, and you ask me to research it for you at the same time, it'd still be helpful!

Thanks.

Just to say I would like to see links to the rest of the forum in this guide. If you are explaining something and there is a forum section for it then please include a link to it so that the person knows where to go and ask questions. This is something which will have to look the same across all parts of the guide and fits in with the style being the same throughout.

If anyone is covering the buying/sale of stuff then a link to the classifieds on here, how they work and also a link to the rules for them would be great. Tips for writing ads etc. A lot of things may seem very simple, but the amount of people who post up useless adverts and ask for large amounts of money is mind blowing.

There are also a few decent guides already on here which are quite specific and won't fit into this generic guide, so could perhaps show up as "further reading". We also have quite a few useful sticky topics lying about the place so checking them all out would be wise.

We also have the app which has been slightly forgotten about, but it would be a great link for those looking to work things out rather than you trying to explain the calculations to them you can just explain how to use the app (if you think that is required).

We've been around getting on for 3 years, so the forum is a great resource of information, so please don't forget to use it.

Whilst I remember.. if you find any sticky topics which you believe will be completely replaced by the guide please let me know. If there are any sticky topics which you feel could be edited for better correctness then please also let me know. Many of them were written a while ago and not all have seen updates.

In the magazine section, we ought to have a mag maintenance guide.
And maybe a whole section devoted to general gun cleaning and maintenance

I think a general maintenance guide is definitely a good idea.

However to make it a super one guide fits all type guide, maybe add specialist sections too? Takedown guides, tweaking, getting the best performance out of your guns type thing, I might have been getting the wrong idea about your super guide, but I still think it would be an improvement over the other guides that are out there :D

The main point of guide is to help as many people as possible and its my way of giving back to you guys for your help. The way I see it is if we hit the nail on the head with the guide we will have loads more new people on the site and AF-UK will be much better known on the internet. I also have another Idea That I plan to follow up with if this guide is successful.
