It was also members of the SBS's airborne ground troop.

I wonder what an Ultimate Force game would be like?
I remember back in 2001 someone was making a game for the PS2 and Xbox called "The Regiment" and involved SAS troops fighting in The Tube...

Lost all interest in CoD nowadays. Why play CoD when I can go airsofting?

Airsoft is clearly superior. Both are equally realistic (you all know I'm right), but airsoft gets you some real exercise and yano, REAL toy guns...

I would say airsoft is more realistic then CoD!!! If you get shot you die rather then emptying a clip in someone who then throws a knife at you!!

If you need a team or any patch deigns.. drop me a PM!!

cheaper and a lot more accessible?

not related in any way but would love a pc game where people had to call their hits^^

I had a similar issue with my ICS AK hicap, threw it against a tree and bob's your uncle.

my toygun is better than your toygun

I wouldnt, you wouldnt spray 1 clip, youd spray all you clips, then when they throw the knife at you, the marshall sees you didnt take the hit and kicks you from the game

Time to revive this thread.I know that a fair number of you on here see MW3 as the spawn of Satan, played by brain dead morons.
Me? Unless someone be cheating or hacking (and obviously hacking, not just me having a crap game), I enjoy it. Brain off, game on, watch the pretty explosions.

On to advertising.
I honestly think CoD has some of the best adverts ever - and here's why:

http://www.youtube.c...;v=zuzaxlddWbk#!

Let's not turn this into a MW3 vs BF3 topic (again). Just sit back, relax - and enjoy some crazy stuff exploding

Over the top? Yup. Exaggerated view of the game? You betcha.
Absolutely hilarious? Absolutely. This, along with the CoD Black Ops advert, is possibly one of the best things I've ever seen on my TV screen (when the show/movie I'm watching is on advert breaks...)

I am a more BF3 player, BUUUTTT!!!!!! I don't mind people preferring coD over BF because, at the end of the day, people have different playing styles and some others cant respect that?! And about the adverts. They are amazing, the n00b one, that should be on TV if it already isn't! Although it can be a bit graphic in ways.

It's ares, it'll be ok...

Hubert such blasphamy in the face of the almighty your mammy sgould have you over one knee and slap you till your permanently a differnt colour and i dont mean black or blue and until the graphics are as good as that and the multiplayer isnt so flawed i will only be borrowing from my brother to play their campaign although admittedly battlefield multiplayer needs some work

I don't think it's really possible to compare MW3 or BF3, as they're aimed at different audiences - but that isn't to say their respective audience groups don't have overlaps.
BF3 - the hardcore player, with 'realism' elements.
MW3 - the casual player, realism isn't core.
Let's look at it this way, out of CoD and Battlefield, which community has made successful and popular 'reality mods', and which hasn't?

I like both. I enjoy both. Both games have idiots in their communities, it's a shame that some idiots are vocal.
Battlefield 3 looks amazing. CoD doesn't, but then again, it's campaign (whilst ridiculous, like a Michael Bay movie on steroids) isn't crap like BF3's single player (quick time rat fights!)

But to me, CoD will always win when it comes to advertising - especially when they do live action stunts like this.

And useing Eminems music i agree most of their adverts are to paraphrase a friend called Tony they're Great!

Besides if we didnt have cod battlefield would be filled 24/7 with guys bent over desks with their brown hole on show all the time (sorry if its too graphic)

CoD have the budget for advertising, whilst I imagine BF's is also rather large, they haven't had the huge sales from their previous titles. (Well they were huge just not as huge :P)

Que at midnight at gamestation in Bognor Regis was a joke eventually got home at 02:30 played for about hour and a half and got to say thought it was brilliant so far.

G36 is a beast. Mp5 top draw at cqb. Got 7-0 using riot sheilds in search. Saw a few of the new killstreaks in action strafing heli's is cool and got the one where a helicopter gunship follows u around hovering above u is wicked. Don't know if it's on there but I think cold blooded is a must as all I could hear was "enemy uav spotted" every 20 seconds.

Ahahahahahahahahaa!

I said this on another forum, but I'll say it again here.
They modeled as the correct handguard and iron sights - sort of. Why yes, the ejection port and dust cover are on the left... whilst the charging handle and cheek rest are on the right (and casings are ejected to the right). It's like they made the in-game model based on a doodle of an L86 someone drew from memory... whilst drunk...

Unlike the MG36 (or the LSW from MW2!) the bipod is stationary and doesn't move at all.

Out of interest (I've not even touched the LMGs yet, too busy with ma G36C :D), what optics does the LSW have this time? Have they gone ACOG or yet another piss-poor attempt at the SUSAT?

Just casually reviving a CoD thread to talk about The Regiment lol.

Konami made it, it was supposed to be for the PS2 but it ended up being released for the PC, I had it for a brief period before my PC broke and it was really really good, though I might just be biased because of how amazed I was to actually have a PC game that worked xD

You had to do all the training, learning the room clearance drills and all that, you even have to call "CLEAR" when the rooms were clear by pressing space, it was a seriously amazing game.

But, I did have to cheat to unlock all the levels as doing them in the SAS's 4minutes, or whatever, per level was UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE and unless you matched them, you couldn't progress.

But yeah, all the mission briefings showed clips of interviews with the members who did the operations you play through for real. I think there are 6 missions and 3 teams to play as for each one, so there's sort of 18 missions, but not really.

You can probably buy it online for about 5, definitely worth a play.
